Truthfulness From Ahadith

The main question which arises when it is said that the latter day messiah would be in the likeness of the Messiah Isa Ibn Maryam, is that why was he called Isa Ibn Maryam, if it would be a metaphorical coming?

Now it is always asked that if Isa عليه السلام is indeed dead than did the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ give us statements which prove this messiah would be different?

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said “How will you be when the son of Mary descends amongst you and is your imam among you.”(Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 55, Hadith #658)

A problem which has arised throughout the Muslim ummah in regards to the prophecies of the Messiah is taking everything literally and not giving it room for interpretation

Firstly, it is clear that Isa عليه السلام has died according to the Qur’an and the Ahadith. Secondly a lot of non Ahmadi Muslims have quoted a hadith which states that the latter day masih would be buried with Muhammad ﷺ

Two of the greatest signs in regards to the end times which were prophesied by the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, were Dajjal and Gog and Magog

Narrated Abu Huraira:Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “The Hour will not be established until the son of Mary descends amongst you as a just ruler, he will break the cross, kill the pigs, and abolish the Jizya tax. Money will be in abundance so that nobody will accept it (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 3, Book 43, Hadith #656)

The next sign of the Messiah of the Latter days which will be discussed is the killing of the swine. This is another metaphorical sign of the Messiah, and does not literally mean that the messiah would come to kill pigs

The next sign which will be discussed is the abolition of Jizya. Firstly, jizya is a ta which non Muslims are forced to pay durings the wars for protection

The next sign of this hadith which will be discussed is the abundance of wealth that nobody would accept it. Now this is another sign in the same prophecy of the Holy Prophet ﷺ

The sign which will now be discssed, is the killing of the Dajjal at the Gate of Ludd. Dajjal and Gog and Magog would have its own section, and the purpose of this explanaton will primarily be in regards to the Gate of Ludd.

its quite sad that some Muslims take this prophecy of Muhammad ﷺ to be literal. Firstly, they need to understand that a lot of the prophecies in regards to the Messiah عليه السلام are full of metaphorical language

“Allah would reveal to Isa  these words: I have brought forth from amongst My servants such people against whom none would be able to fight; you take these people safely to Tur.” (Sahih Muslim 2937a)

“Allah would send Christ, son of Mary, and he will descend at the white minaret in the Eastern side of Damascus” (Sahih Muslim 2937 a)

One of the primary objection the non Ahmadi Muslims have against Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad عليه السلام  of Qadian is that he was not from the family of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

Another primary difference between the Ahmadi and non Ahmadi Muslims is in regards to the Messiah and Mahdi being one person with both of these titles

Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه‎ stated: ” “Allah does not take (the life of ) a Prophet except at the location in which He wants him to be buried.’ (Jami’ at Tirmidhi Hadith #1018)

Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) having said: Hasten to do good deeds before six things happen: the rising of the sun from the west… (Sahih Muslim Hadith #2947 a)

“would inform them of their ranks in Paradise” (Sahih Muslim, Book 54, Hadith #136)

Many non Ahmadi Muslims quote the hadith which states that the Messiah and Mahdi would bring peace to the world

The Messenger of Allah, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ saw him wearing two garments dyed with safflower and he said: “This is the clothing of disbelievers; do not wear it.”(Sunan an Nasai, #5316)

Water drops would fall from the forehead of the Messiah

“It will not come until you see ten signs before and (in this connection) he made a mention of the smoke, Dajjal, the beast…” (Sahih Muslim Hadih 2901 a)

The Messiah was to be supported by two angels

The Messiah seen in a vision doing circuits around the ka’ba

The opponents of the Promised Messiah Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad^as often raise the allegation that the Messiah was to live for 40 years after his second descent, but since according to their false calculations, he did not live up to forty years, he cannot be the Messiah.

The Holy Prophet(saw) prophesied that the Messiah would be buried with him

Abu Hurairah narrated that : “The Messenger of Allah, May Allah Bless him stated: When Jesus son of Mary descends, he will kill the pig, break the cross, and prayers will be combined….” (Musnad Ahmad)

The sign of the smoke is another prophecy which is included in both the Qur’an and the Ahadith

The Messiah would be blessed with progeny

The allegation of the anti Ahmadis is that Hadhrat Ahmad had a slight stammer. They forget that this was a sign for the truthfulness of the Mahdi

The Holy Prophet(saw) made it clear that the Mahdi would be prepared in one night and this was beautifully fulfilled in Ahmad(as) as well.

One of the prophecies made by our master, The Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, are the prophecies in regards to the Imam Mahdi

The Messiah was to fight for Islam

Allah Would Perish All Religions during the time of the Messiah
