Reality of Prophethood From The Ahadith

Hadith

This section will show from the Ahadith that prophethood is indeed open. No Non Ahmadi should really need to argue on this point as they themselves await a prophet. Some have said that Isa عليه السلام would lose his prophethood in his second coming but this is totally false. The Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ has clearly stated that he would be a prophet.

Caliphate On The Precept of Prophethood

This hadith is extremely beautiful. The Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw) has firstly prophesied about caliphate after him and has stated that it would remain as long as Allah wills

If Ibrahim Remained Alive He Would Be A Prophet

“Then Ibrahim the son of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) died, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed and said: ‘He has a wet-nurse in Paradise, and if he had lived he would have been a Siddiq and a Prophet. If he had lived his maternal uncles, the Egyptians, would have been set free and no Egyptian would ever have been enslaved.” (Ibn Maja Volume 1, Book 6, Hadith #1511)

Prophet Can be Raised

Abu Bakr (ra) is the most superior from among the Ummah, except that a prophet is raised.” (Kanzul Ummal)

Latter Day Messiah Called A Prophet Four Times

In this hadith, the Holy Prophet Muhammadsaw has called the latter day messiah, who is also given the title of Isa Ibn Maryam a Prophet of Allah four times

No Prophet Between Me And Him

Narrated Abu Hurayrah: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: There is no prophet between me and him, that is, Jesus (as). He will descend. (Sunan Abi Dawud 4324)

The One To Revive Islam

This is a beautiful prophecy in regards to a prophet coming from our ummah. Allah has clearly stated that “And among others from among them who have not yet joined them” Allah shows us that in the end times people who see the Holy Prophet(saw) who are not with him yet
