I Will Come Down from the Heavens to Earth?

I Will Come Down from the Heavens to Earth?

The anti-Ahmadis also present the following narration from Durr-al-Manthur:

وَأخرج أَبُو الشَّيْخ عَن ابْن عَبَّاس {إِن تُعَذبهُمْ فَإِنَّهُم عِبَادك} يَقُول: عبيدك قد استوجبوا الْعَذَاب بمقالتهم {وَإِن تغْفر لَهُم} أَي من تركت مِنْهُم وَمد فِي عمره حَتَّى أهبط من السَّمَاء إِلَى الأَرْض يقتل الدَّجَّال فنزلوا عَن مقالتهم ووحدوك وأقروا إِنَّا عبيد {وَإِن تغْفر لَهُم} حَيْثُ رجعُوا عَن مقالتهم {فَإنَّك أَنْت الْعَزِيز الْحَكِيم}

“From Abu al-Shaikh that Ibn Abbas (ra) about the verse ‘If you punish them, they are Thy servants’ says: ‘Your servants deserve the punishment because of their words. ‘And if you forgive them’, meaning those you have left behind from them, and their life is extended until I descend from the heavens to the earth to kill the Dajjal, and then they retracted from their words and united with you and affirmed that we are servants. ‘And if you forgive them’ when they retracted from their statement ‘then verily thou art the Mighty, the Wise” Durr al-Manthur, vol. 3, p. 241

Once again, there is no complete chain of narration. It is a fabrication attributed to Hazrat Ibn Abbas (ra). The chain between the narrator and Ibn Abbas (ra) is missing. Secondly, the narration is itself complete illogical as no one from the time of Hazrat Isa (as) is still alive.
