The allegation raised by the non Ahmadi Muslims is one of the most baseless allegations which can possibly be raised.They quote a statement of Ahmadas where he says that lam yalid means that God is not the son of anyone, nor is he begotten. He further explains that this is compared with God’s ninety nine names for example al Qudus, meaning son of no one. He is Qayum meaning not begotten, and also Qadir, meaning he did not come from the stomach of anyone. In context this makes complete sense. A lot of times, Ahmadas would quote verses and explain them in depth. In surah Al-Ikhlas Allah clearly states that He begets not nor is he begotten, meaning he has no children, nor is he the son of anyone. Just because Ahmadas did not put the entire ayah, does not mean that he wasn’t referring to the whole picture by quoting one word of the surah. If Ahmadas in reality did not know this ayah, why are his books full of beautiful explanations on it? Why did he challenge all the Arabic scholars, and why could not a single person compete with him? Here is a reference from Barahin-e-Ahmadiyyah part 1, which totally proves this allegation to be a lie. Ahmadas states:
After establishing the existence of the Creator of the universe, it was necessary to impress upon a seeker after truth that that Creator is free from every kind of association. This was indicated by:
قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ {2} اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ {3}
‘Say, He is Allah, the One; Allah, the Independent and Besought of all….’(Al-Ikhlas, 112:2-5)
It should be observed how concisely in this brief statement the Being of the Creator has been shown to be free from every kind of association. Association can be of four types. It could be in respect of number, rank, descent, or action and effect. In this Surah, it has been declared that God is free from association of all these types. It has been made clear that He is the One in number and is not two or three; He is the Besought of all; He alone is Self-Existing while everything else is contingent and mortal and is ever dependent upon Him; and He is:
لَمْ يَلِدْ
which means that He has no son who can claim to be His partner; and He is:
لَمْ يُولَدْ
which means that he has no father to share His power; and He is:
لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ
which means that no one can be His equal in His works to claim partnership with Him on this account. Thus, it has been made clear that God Almighty is free from associates of any of the four types and is One, without associate.(Barahin-e-Ahmadiyya, Ruhani Khazain, Volume 1, Pages 515-521 Sub-footnote 3)
This makes it clear for those who raise such a ignorant allegation, that in reality Ahmadas knew the same translation as everyone quotes even before his claim. Just because he gave an in depth explanation to explain the entire tauheed of Allah, does not mean he did not know the translation.
