Chapter 62 Verses 4-5

The One To Revive Islam

The Qur’an makes a beautiful prophecy in regards to a reformer under Islam. Allah has stated:

623

624

“He it is Who has raised among the Unlettered people a Messenger from among themselves who recites unto them His signs, and purifies them, and teaches them the Book and wisdom, although they had been, before, in manifest misguidance. And among others from among them who have not yet joined them. He is the Mighty, the Wise. That is Allah’s grace; He bestows it on whom He pleases; and Allah is the Master of immense grace.” (Chapter 62 Verses 4-5)

This is a beautiful prophecy in regards to a prophet coming from our ummah. Allah has clearly stated that “And among others from among them who have not yet joined them” Allah shows us that in the end times people who see the Holy Prophet(saw) who are not with him yet. Now one cannot take this literally because the Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw) himself did the commentary of these ayahs when they were revealed upon him. Here is the Bukhari Hadith which outlines what took place:

Narrated Abu Huraira: While we were sitting with the Prophet (ﷺ) Surat Al-Jumu’a was revealed to him, and when the Verse, “And He (Allah) has sent him (Muhammad) also to other (Muslims)…..’ (62.3) was recited by the Prophet, I said, “Who are they, O Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)?” The Prophet (ﷺ) did not reply till I repeated my question thrice. At that time, Salman Al-Farisi was with us. So Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) put his hand on Salman, saying, “If Faith were at (the place of) Ath-Thuraiya (pleiades, the highest star), even then some man from these people (i.e. Salman’s folk) would attain it.”(Sahih Bukhari, Volume 6, Book 60, Hadith #420)

The Holy Prophet Muhammad(Saw) has himself told us that this man would be among the Persian lineage and Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) was. Now the main idea of this sign is it also states the time of the Messiah and clearly tells us that he would appear when faith would be at the highest star meaning it would be corrupt and people would misinterpret the teachings of Islam and what the Qur’an actually states.

worst-creatures

This hadith makes it clear that nothing of Islam would be left except its name and the scholars would be the worst of creatures. In todays age we see the condition of the scholars and what kind of things they do in the name of Islam. It is indeed unbearable to see what they blame our Master Muhammad(saw) for. Allah made it clear that this person would be the second coming of Muhammad(saw) in a spiritual sense which further proves the truthfulness of Ahmad(as) as he was indeed a reflection of Muhammad(saw).

Ahmad(as) has stated:

“People who think in physical terms, sometimes link the Promised One to the progeny of Hasan (ra), sometimes to Husain (ra), and sometimes to
‘Abbas (ra). But what the Holy Prophet (sa) truly meant was that the Promised One would be his heir, just like a son, i.e., he would inherit his
name, his character, his knowledge, his spirituality, and would reflect his very image. He will acquire nothing on his own but will acquire everything
from the Holy Prophet (sa), and will so lose himself in him as to reflect his very image”(A Misconception Removed Page 15)
