    The View of Hazrat Safiyya (ra)

    The non-Ahmadi Muslims claim that Hazrat Safiyya (ra) believed that Hazrat Isa (as) physically ascended into the heavens. The present the following narration:

    عن صفية أم المؤمنين رضي الله عنها أنها كانت إذا زارت بيت المقدس، وفرغت من الصلاة في المسجد الأقصى: صعدت على جبل زيتا فصلت عليه وقالت: هذا الجبل هو الذي رفع منه عيسى عليه السلام إلى السماء

    “Regarding the Mother of the believers (ra), when she visited Bait al-Maqdis, and completed her prayer in Masjid Aqsa, she went up to Mount Olives and prayed there as well and said this is the mountain from where Isa (as) was raised up to the heavens (Al-Tasreeh bima Tawatar fi Nuzool-e-Masih, vol. 1, p. 258)

    This is not a hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (sa) nor is it mutassil marfu. No argument can be made from the narration. No chain of narration is given for this. It is a complete fabrication.
