Chapter 7 Verse 36

Prophets Within The Ummah

736

O children of Adam! if Messengers come to you from among yourselves, rehearsing My Signs unto you, then whoso shall fear God and do good deeds, on them shall come no fear nor shall they grieve.(Chapter 7 Verse 36)

This verse is giving a grand prophecy of prophets coming within this Ummah. If Allah was not planning on sending any more prophets He would not have said “If Messengers Come to you”. Can any non Ahmadi claim that this verse is useless and does not belong in the Qur’an or any such statement? Allah has also used the words minkum which refers to from you. Muhammad(saw) used the exact same words for the coming of Isa(as) and this shows that the prophet would be from among us and from us, meaning the Muslims.

Some non Ahmadi Muslims claim that, because, it states “Children of Adam” it does not apply or refer to Muslims. This argument is completely baseless. Firstly, this verse is speaking of the future and Allah has clearly Stated “If Messengers come to you”. If it was in regards to the past, Allah would not have spoke in this tense.

Some have shockingly claimed that the words “O Children of Adam” do not refer to Muslims. This is also incorrect. Firstly, then who is this verse referring to? Do the non Ahmadi Muslims want to believe that prophets can still continue to come from other nations till today? It is obvious that they do not have such a belief, nor would anyone want to hold such a belief which would mock at Islam and the Holy Qur’an. Here are some verses of the Qur’an which further prove that “O Children of Adam” include Muslims. Allah States:

727

7281

O children of Adam! We have indeed sent down to you raiment to cover your shame, and to be an elegant dress; but the raiment of righteousness — that is the best. That is one of the Signs of Allah, that they may remember.O children of Adam! let not Satan seduce you, even as he turned your parents out of the garden, stripping them of their raiment that he might show them their shame. Truly he sees you, he and his tribe, from where you see them not. Surely, We have made satans friends for those who believe not.(Chapter 7 Verse 27-28)

Now can one really say that when Allah is revealing such commands Muslims are excluded? No one believes such a thing and in verse 30 of the same chapter Allah has also indicated that He is indeed including the nation of the Muslims:

730

Say, ‘My Lord has enjoined justice. And fix your attention aright at every time andplace of worship, and call upon Him, making yourselves sincere towards Him in religion. As He brought you into being, so shall you return.’(Chapter 7 Verse 30)

Allah has used Qul (say) and whenever this is used Allah is referring to the nation of the Muslims in the Qur’an. Some can also raise the allegation that does this include Law bearing prophets as well? Of course not as Islam is completed and Allah has stated that they would be from amongst the Muslims and they would rehearse the signs of Allah rather than bring anything new.
