Tichi Tichi?

Tichi Tichi?

This allegation is full of mockery and no where will you find the words tichi tichi in the books of Ahmadas. Here is the excerpt which they accuse:

” On the night prior to Friday March 3, 1905, at 1:35 a.m. I saw in my dream that I was facing lack of money and other great difficulties and was very anxious. I asked someone to draw up an Income and Expenditure Statement but no one paid any heed to what I had said. I saw someone who was preparing a statement of accounts and recognized him as Lachhmi Das, who was at one time Accounts Clerk in the Treasury at Sialkot. I tried to call him but he too did not come and ignored me. I felt that there was a large shortfall and there seems to be no way to make it up. In the meanwhile, I saw a righteous person of simple mien, simply clad who poured a handful of money into my lap and left so quickly that I could not even ask his name. But there was still a shortfall. Then another righteous person came whose face was lit up and who was also of simple appearance and who resembled a sufi of Kotla, who is probably named Karam Ilahi or Fadl Ilahi. He gave us some money by selling his shirt. He had the appearance of a human being but he seemed to belong to a different creation. He filled both his hands with money and poured it into my lap. This made a lot of money. I inquired his name and he said: What is there in a name? I have no name. I urged him to tell me his name and he said: Tichi.I was deeply moved that there are people in our Jama’at who contribute sogenerously and do not disclose their names. Then I said: He was not a man. He was an angel. When I saw a lot of money in front of me, I said: Out of it,I shall give to Manzur Muhammad’s wife, for she is in need. It was 1:30a.m. when I saw this dream.”(Notebook of the Revelations of the Promised Messiah, Page 39 and Al-Hakam, Volume 9, No.10, March 24, 1905, Page 2 and Review of Religions Volume 4, No.3, March 1905)

Firstly Ahmadas himself explains what tichi means. He statae:

“In Punjabi, tichi means, exact time or, in other words, a person who comes exactly at a time of need.”(Haqiqat-ul-Wahi, Page 232, Ruhani Khazain, Volume 22, Page 346)

He himself has given the meaning and yet the opponents raise such an allegation of why an angel had such a name. The names of all angels are not known to us and people of different nations might even find the name Gabriel to be inappropriate. The non Ahmadi Muslims raise an allegation against the name of one who might have been an angel, but forget the story of Mosesas. It is narrated:

Narrated Abu Huraira:The Angel of Death was sent to Moses when he came to Moses, Moses slapped him on the eye. The angel returned to his Lord and said, “You have sent me to a Slave who does not want to die.” Allah said, “Return to him and tell him to put his hand on the back of an ox and for every hair that will come under it, he will be granted one year of life.” Moses said, “O Lord! What will happen after that?” Allah replied, “Then death.” Moses said, “Let it come now.” Moses then requested Allah to let him die close to the Sacred Land so much so that he would be at a distance of a stone’s throw from it.” Abu Huraira added, “Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, ‘If I were there, I would show you his grave below the red sand hill on the side of the road.”(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith #3407)

According to the logic of the anti Ahmadis Mosesas would be a false prophet as well. He did not give a unheard name of an angel, rather replied in a way which no other prophet has. People need to understand that some names might not be familiar to us of a specific angel, but this does not mean that the name is unfamiliar to Allah. We should also rememeber that Ahmadas only said he thought it was an angel.
