First of the Believers

The allegation of the non Ahmadi Musims is that Allah called Ahmadas the first of the believers. This is totally twisted by the non Ahmadi Muslims who ignore the words of Ahmadas. He explains this stating In Barahin-e-Ahmadiyyah, part 3, page 239, Ruhani Khaza’in, volume 1, page 265,:

‘I am the first of the believers’: It means: I am the first to turn towards Allah under His command in this age or the first to believe in this commandment. Allah knows best.’

Similar revelations are used for other prophets. Allah States in regards to Abrahamas:

لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ ۖ وَبِذَٰلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ {164}

‘He has no partner. And so am I commanded, and I am the first of those who submit.’(Chapter 6 Verse 164)

The translators of the non Ahmadi Muslims including the most famous, Sahih International have bracketed (Among you) to show that Abrahamas was the first to submit among those people. This does not however mean that the prophets before him did not submit, it just shows that in his age he was the foremost of the believers.

It is also stated in regards to Mosesas:

وَلَمَّا جَاءَ مُوسَىٰ لِمِيقَاتِنَا وَكَلَّمَهُ رَبُّهُ قَالَ رَبِّ أَرِنِي أَنْظُرْ إِلَيْكَ ۚ قَالَ لَنْ تَرَانِي وَلَٰكِنِ انْظُرْ إِلَى الْجَبَلِ فَإِنِ اسْتَقَرَّ مَكَانَهُ فَسَوْفَ تَرَانِي ۚ فَلَمَّا تَجَلَّىٰ رَبُّهُ لِلْجَبَلِ جَعَلَهُ دَكًّا وَخَرَّ مُوسَىٰ صَعِقًا ۚ فَلَمَّا أَفَاقَ قَالَ سُبْحَانَكَ تُبْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ{144}

And when Moses came at Our appointed time and his Lord spoke to him, he said, ‘My Lord, show Thyself to me that I may look at Thee.’ He replied, ‘Thou shalt not see Me, but look at the mountain; if it remains in its place, then shalt thou see Me.’ And when his Lord manifested Himself on the mountain, He broke it into pieces and Moses fell down unconscious. And when he recovered, he said, ‘Holy art Thou, I turn towards Thee, and I am the first to believe.’(Chapter 7 Verse 144)

The same applies to Mosesas.This does not mean that the prophets before him were not believers nor were there believers before him. it simply shows that he was the best of the believers in his time and the foremost of them all. It is sad that such people raise an allegation against the revelations of the Promised Messiah that are already mentioned for other prophets. This shows that they do not read the Qur’an at all.
